Baja California

Every year as long as I can remember I have been going down to Baja California with my Dad and his friends from work. Usually over the summer in August. Of course every now and then I missed a trip for some reason or another. This trip was one of the best. We had awesome weather and tons of fun.

Of course the trip started out ruff. On the way out of the court there are a few speed bumps. Well over the years the salt water has weakened the boat trailer a bit. So on the 3rd speed bump the leaf spring hanger cracked it half. SO we turned back around and decided to leave the boat at home. Which worked out ok. We made it down there faster and smoother.

I love this site. This is the Mexico/California border. I

love how on the Mexico side all the homes are pushed

right up to the border and the US side there are no

homes at all.

Of course once we got across the border we had to buy some fireworks. We got all those for like 20 bucks.
This was our camp at LA bay. About 500 miles past the border.
On our first day there we paid one of the local fisherman to take us out (since we didn't have a boat). I caught the first Dorado. About 25 pounds we guess. They are awesome to fight. They dance all over the water.
Here is the next Dorado to be caught. Kristen the daughter of HB my dads friend caught it. It was about a 15 ponder.
While we were out on the boat some killer whales swam right next to use. It was quite a sight. One had a calf with it so we didn't feel it was a good idea to get any closer then were already were.
Once we got back to shore we drove into the little town and I saw what appeared to be a new dodge ramcharger. Apon further investigation it was. It seems dodge only makes them in Mexico because they do not meet US safety standards. It was pretty nice looking though.
The one thing about Mexico is you can always grantee awesome sunsets.
