Here is Bryan entering the worst of the 1st obstacle. It seemed the rocks reached out to scrape your truck's undercarriage.   Damon Finds himself between a rock and a hard place. His forward momentum was ceased thanks to a large rock resting on his transfer case skid plate. After Hi-Lifting off of the rock, Eric helps Damon get back on the right line to make it through the rocks.

This brought us up to my favorite obstacle in the trail. Two VW-sized rocks with a small gap in between them. An added complication was climbing over them while starting in a small pool of water. I was confident of myself because I had made it over the obstacle in the summer with less ground clearance at both ends and bald tires. Mark helped keep me pointed in the right direction. The new bumper and two inches of added lift in the rear was a blessing and I didn't get any body damage this time. The last time I drug my rocker panel across the large rock on the left.

Ryan's tall 4Runner with Hi-Steer made it over the rocks after me; then Marty bumped and grinded his way over the top in his typical driving fashion. Mark was next to make it over the rocks and was disappointed he didn't get to try out his new rocker panel rock skis.

Despite our best attempts, we couldn't convince anyone else to give the V-rock a go. The bypass was even hairy. Bill's Boggers were put to work to pull his Chevy through. Kenny also need all of his suspension flex to make his way around the rocks.

After a few more minor obstacles, we reached the turn around point. We plan to go further up the creek through the overgrown valley, but the sun was already sinking in the sky and we wanted to leave enough time to turn around and make our way back out of the creek. We had some lunch over truck talk and climbed up some of the hillsides to get our trucks turned around.

Eric, who left his Bronco at the trail head spent much of the day spotting for the trucks at the rear of the pack. As usual, Marty's truck bed doubles as the trash container. I have never it with so little trash :) Brandon was just along for the ride, but enjoyed some BBQ chips he was able to wrestle away from Marty.
