Hollister Hills SVRA
February 17th, 2001

Bryan Kale initially set up a trip to Prairie City SVRA on this date. The park was scheduled to be closed on this day, so Damon and I switched gears a few days before the trip and rounded up a few people to head to Hollister. Dave and I were on our way from Dublin, but a phone call to Marty got him out of bed and on his way to meet us at a mall parking lot along the way.

As soon as we saw the mud pit, we knew someone was going through it. Marty didn't need any convincing. When Marty was dropping in the pit, Mark said "Time for mistake #1 of the day". Marty quickly made him eat his words by going through it both ways. His first attempt fell short, but we heard the air lockers come to life and he cruised through the rest of the obstacle.

When Dave saw how easy Marty made the mud bog look, he had to give it a shot. Making sure to stay out of the giant ruts, Dave made it through with no problems.
