| Before it got dark, we
decided to head out for a little bit and play around. We snaked
through the twisting Lupine loop trail, and took Garner road
around the front side of the park. There was a twisty section of
the trail that really let you work out your suspension. |

Brandon made good on his claim to be
the drunk, and was out by 5:30. He was a great co-pilot for Travis
through some of the hairy sections of the trail. Brandon also had a
little run in with the law at the park. Apparently the ranger didn't
like him riding around standing up in the back of the Bronco. |
| Everyone took their turn going
through the section, and Travis was loving his newfound front suspension
travel from the removal of that sway bar. Now he just has to ditch the
rear one and he'll be set. After the flexy section of trail, we all
headed back to camp to get settled in for the night. More and more
people were arriving, and all of the campsites were taken by
sunset.

We got our fire going and most
people flocked over to it because we were one of the few groups smart
enough to bring our own wood. The Toyota group at the far end of the
campsite came over and we planned on watching them. Duke showed up in the
Mustang at about 8:30 with the spare tire on. Apparently he got a flat on
the way down and was delayed. Mark and Marty showed up around 10. Quite a
few people had too much to drink. The guy with the 79 Bronco got loaded
and went out for a drive not once, but twice. The second time, he didn't
come back. The next morning his friends had the ranger check to see if he
was in jail, and he was. There were fresh bogger-made doughnuts at the
park's front gate, and I guess he flipped his truck into a ditch on his
drunken voyage into town.
